The best known fair of all is the FIAC, held during the month of October in the Grand Palais and the Louvre. Two hundred or so international galleries already well-known by the market gather within the Grand Palais’ impressive interior. Their stalls are for the most part dedicated to the masters of modern and contemporary art during the past 50 years, whether within the fields of painting, sculpture, photography, installation or video. Resolutely eclectic, the second section of the FIAC is held in the Cour Carré of the Louvre where 70 galleries more focused on the latest trends and emerging talents are gathered. |
